  • Inset 3 : Classic lines of now famous 2000-era BMW Mini Cooper. Small, compact, retro icon with modern Need-for-Speed appeal. • To distinguish between legacy Mini and new Mini, current name written in capital letters is called "BMW MINI". Auto was intended to replace Rover 100 and Rover 200 autos on world auto markets (Uwe's opinion, these cars really lacked appeal, looking like a cross-breed between Ford Pinto hatchback and Subaru Legacy station wagon). • Between 2001-2006, MINI came in variety of models, such as hatch-back MINI, convertible MINI, mini flaresupercharger engine MINI, but probably its most exposure (hence expedited sales) in US market was usage in 2003 movie "The Italian Job".
