  • Unhitched 2cm FLAK30 anti-aircraft gun guarding convoy road in mountain pass, lack of dense forest and heavy vegetation probably refers to either Balkan or Caucasus regions. FLAK gunner sat split-legged in mount while loaders manually fed gun cartridge clips and aerial spotter identify targets via tube-like range finder. • Rollover : Close-up of FLAK30 gun trailer, hooks in rear scopes up entire gun mount, side storage bins for tools and extra ammunition. By 1941, HG regiment formed four FLAK batteries, with the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th. Compared with Army and Waffen-SS units, HG used a simplistic tactical insignia of a clock-dial format. 1st battery was a white circle with line pointing to 2nd hour position (in order not to confuse with 6th battery marking), 3rd battery pointed to 3rd hour, etc.

  • Note above Panzergrenadieren wore Waffen-SS style camouflage smocks, both Luftwaffe and Waffen-SS used the same uniforms but had different rank insignias.
