In past decade, various WHAT-IF scenarios have been forwarded on how Germans could have successfully conquered Soviet Union within 1941-1943 timeframe. If Germans secured its Eastern Front, then military resources can be immediately reallocated to combat Western Allies in North Africa and Mediterranean fronts. 1944 Allied Normandy D-Day invasion would have extremely difficult to accomplish if Germans repositioned majority of its Panzer Divisions from Holland down to France. One scenario centered on German conquest of Moscow in Dec 1941, thereby forcing Stalin and his Communist entourage to flee eastward towards the Ural mountains. Some argued Soviet Communist bureaucracy was highly centralized compared to Nazi Germany or Fascist Italy or Spain. By forcing Soviets to abandon Moscow in essence would have collapsed their command-and-control of its armed forces and political commissars nationwide. Another scenario concentrated on recruiting neutral countries to join German cause. Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania were German allies during the war, they contributed troops in the Stalingrad salient battles. Turkey remained neutral throughout the war. However, some speculated that if Turkey joined the Germans to gain territory in the Caucasus region, it would have block Allied supply routes coming into southern Soviet Union from Iran.

Rollover : Turkey would launch northern offensive into Caucasus towards Baku (major oil terminal on Caspian Sea), catching Soviets in a pincer. They would also blocked British reinforcements from Iraq and Iran (at that time under British colonial influence). Fall 2002, The History Channel aired The Kennedys - Corruption of Power documentary. Program stated Joseph Kennedy Sr. (father of John, Robert, and Edward Kennedy and kingpin of Kennedy Clan) was appointed US Ambassador to Great Britain in 1938 by President Franklin Roosevelt as a means to get politically ambitious Kennedy "Out of Town" (thus avoid political competition with Roosevelt). Kennedy being of Irish-descent (written in original Gaelic language as Ceannaideach, meaning "The Ugly-Headed"), were sympathetic to Irish independence movement and to German Nazi regime since it offered centralized state control of industrial resources, concept of which appealed to business-savvy Kennedy clan.

By 1940 Kennedy became distraught when President Roosevelt shifted US foreign policy from neutrality to tacit support for Great Britain in her war against Germany. Some historians stated Kennedy was a pure neutralist, yet others asserted he feared looming war would destroy his political-financial empire and draft his sons in battle for which entire Kennedy generational line may be lost. In Nov 1940 when asked by international press concerning his pro-Nazi sentiments, Kennedy tersely replied that "democracy was dead" and that US should make amends with Germany. He too professed his anti-war sentiments by resigning from US Army Air Corps, accused American-Jewish groups of pushing US towards war, and professed his admiration for German technical accomplishments. US President Roosevelt retailated by denouncing Lindbergh as Pro-Nazi and refused to allow him to re-enlist in the military when US joined the war in 1941.
