Front track fenders were sawed off to mimic collision damage, part was then heated over a candle until softened and deformed with a pencil eraser's edge. Spare road wheels and tracks were placed on front transmission cover, use as defacto applique armor to increase armor protection. Right side of glacis plate is driver's armor visor and two small periscope holes, late-war design would eliminate visor completely and retain only periscope holes. Crescent-shaped
tow hooks placed on tow bar next to spare track, used
for vehicle recovery tasks.
