Initial stage of model construction, major parts were glued with Liquid Cement and Superglue before sanding and buffing. Metal rod was used as propeller shaft, inserted through engine part, its end secured with a rubber tubing. Overall model was cast in Navy Blue plastic, but cardinal rule for all modelers is to paint all parts regardless of casting color.

Rollover : Monogram F4U-4 model kit is made from a 1970s-era mold design, hence does not have the details as modern day Corsair model kits (ex. lack of detailed landing gear interior). Nevertheless, a good challenge to bring out model detailed aspects via painting and weathering techniques.
- Corsair gull wings were moveable from flying to folded positions, but moving parts were rudimentary and lacked interior wing details. Hence, decided to model Corsair in flying position with wings extended and landing gears retracted. Streak marks around mid-wing and engine mount sections are from using Liquid Cement, which quickly bonds plastic parts by slightly softening its surfaces.
