  • A-37B ground-attack jet, called the Dragonfly or via Korean language Jamjari. Jet was developed in 1960s for COIN (Counter Insurgency) operations, specifically for low-level attacks with bombs, napalms, rockets, external gun pods. A-37s originally developed from USAF T-37C jet trainers in 1962, its first conversion from into attack role was A-37A, which identified areas for modification, including : 1) stronger wing for additional hard-points ordnances, 2) strengthen landing gear for rough airfields (especially for deployment to 3rd world countries), 3) Increase fuel capacity via wingtip fuel tanks, 4) nose-mounted mini-Gatlin gun for built-in armament, 5) upgraded communications, navigation, targeting avionics. These recommendations were incorporated into T-37B versions. A-37 Dragonfly - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-37_Dragonfly

  • Rollover : Although T-37B is a 2-seater jet, it was usually flown by single pilot during ground attack missions. 2nd seat was reserved for Forward Air Controller during spotter missions for aerial assault to ground artillery targeting sorties.
