Pulse rifle and pistol both inscribed with taunt slogans via Traditional Chinese characters. Traditional Chinese characters | Wiki Pistol inscribed with slogan "Ni Lao Ma" (inset item A), literally means "Your Old Mother", colloquially means Screw You, Kiss My Ass, etc. Rifle inscribed with slogan "Wo Lao Ba" (inset item B), literally means "My Old Father", colloquially means Sux My Wee Wee (less risque commentary, but one gets the point).
BTW, socio-political schism exists between users of Traditional Chinese (TC) characters versus Simplified Chinese (SC) characters. TC was standardized by China's HAN dynasty some 2,000 years ago and has been in use throughout Chinese civilization up to modern era, also used in Korea (Hanja), Japan (Kanbun), Vietnam (Chu-Nom).

However, when Communist China came to power in 1950s, they systemically altered Chinese character system to increase public literacy. Such alterations reduced character stroke structure, unilaterally abolished certain words, and created character duplicates. That is why 6 decades after Communist Chinese rule, only China and Singapore formally adopted China's SC system. Compared with TC system used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Korea, Vietnam, and vast majority of overseas Chinese communities in Asia-Pacific, Americas, Europe ( Japan introduced its own simplified character system called Joyo Kanji, its more accurately described as Reduction Characters ).

TC followers remark that despite Communist China ultra-nationalist fervor, if one used only SC system, then one could not even read the ancient Chinese text that was published 2,000 years ago. Thus, one could only read Chinese text published since 1957. Main contention among TC followers is vehement opposition to Communist Chinese Party dictates on evolution of Chinese characters, along with social perception that SC system is unsophisticated culturally, divorced from eons of Chinese civilization, and somewhat inclined for illiterate people.

Nevertheless, every year at United Nations since late-1990s, China has attempted to abolish its TC linguistic rival by making SC the sole Chinese character system globally recognized. And ofcourse, every year it was either voted down or shelved for council debate next year. China Communist party is still tinkering with character system, latest revisions issued in Spring 2009.

Idea for Chinese pulse rifle slogan "Wo Lao Ba" (My Old Father) originated from late-1990s Taiwan President Lee Teng-Hui (inset photo of him in white hat waving Republic of China flag).
Lee Teng-Hui | Wiki He was the first native Taiwanese elected as President, also member of Kuomintang (KMT) or Nationalist Chinese Party. Kuomintang | Wiki
KMT party platform is Chinese Reunification, that is a return to the motherland merging political - social - economic systems with China (without dominance of Chinese Communist Party).
FYI, Taiwan government used to rule China from 1911 - 1949. In 1925, civil war broke out with Chinese Communists, fighting lasted off-n-on for over 20 years until 1949 Communist victory, thus forcing KMT government retreat to Taiwan.

After Lee's election to Presidency, KMT party faction suspected him of having pro-Taiwanese Independence sympathies. In 1990s, Lee publicly urged Taiwanese companies not to invest in China (Taiwan at that time was already China's largest foreign direct investor... and still is today), fearing socio-economic rise of China would eclipse Taiwan stability.

Yet his pleads fell on deaf ears as Taiwanese firms transferred in-masse their white-collar manpower and financial resources to take advantage of China's low-cost blue-collar working force.... creating defacto economic trade block called "Greater China".

Thus when confronted by Taiwanese news reporters on President Lee's duplicitous position of promoting Taiwan economy on world stage, contradicted by his attempted sabotage of such global trade expansion into China, Lee snapped the remark "Bu Guan Zhong Guo Duo Da, Mei Yu Bi Wo Lao Ba Da !".
Literal : No matter how great China's power maybe, it can never be as powerful as my old father.
Colloquial : Regardless of China's power, it can never be as powerful as my shank.

Final weathering touch-up before decal placement. Brown pastel powder mixed into paint thinner solution, hand-painted along model crevices.
Excess paint removed with cotton swab dipped in paint thinner, gently swiped on the surface.
Pastel powder + paint thinner combination is more viscous than paint paste + paint thinner, hence flows readily into prescribed areas.
Paint mixing done on discarded water bottle plastic cap, it is generally used once and thrown away. If one needed more caps, just go purchased a 24-bottle pack from nearest department or grocery store.
