4-part stage in painting Sobe #2 Flecktarn pattern.
1st stage : First part is to paint entire model with overall base color. This can be accomplished either via airbrush or aerosol can.
Although hand painting can also accomplish this task, it generally leaves paint streaks from brushing pattern. |
2nd stage : Second mix a slightly lighter hue to base color, usually mixing white or light grey paint. This paint hue is interspersed along model surface via hand painting of irregular shapes |
3rd stage : use same paint hue mixture from Stage #2, fill-in inter-spatial gaps with smaller irregular shapes |
Final stage : using paint base color from Stage #1, add small mixture of black to create darker paint hue, hand paint this color across entire model via inter-spatial patterns. This will create desired Flecktarn camouflage pattern |
