Building the model from its original kit without major modifications, although after-market figures and parts may augment its display. Other detailing and weathering tasks still apply, such as drilling holes into machine gun barrels, scraping off plastic flash, paint washes for oil stains, dry brush for track details.

Example 1 : 1.35th ITALERI Panzerkampfwagen IV F1 tank. This early version had a short barrel 7.5cm main gun. All crewmen wear the classic Panzertruppen black uniforms.

Example 2 : Star War movies' AT-AT (All-Terrain Attack Transport). Note, some parts have broken off since completion in mid-1980s and were replaced with spare model parts.

ITALERI of Italy, good quality model kits at reasonable prices. Although their figure model details lack behind DRAGON and TAMIYA.

REVELL/MONOGRAM of USA, commanded the market in the 1960s and 1970s. Nowadays, they produce high-quality airplane/jet models and also periodically release models from their older molds as "heritage" products.
