3.2 ) Base Mount
Model displayed on a showcase platform and is usually firmly secured. Base can be made from wood, metal, plastic or CDs.
Example 1 : 1.35th scratch-built Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer with brick fascade on wooden display base. Screw drilled into bottom of model.

Example 2 : 1.35th ITALERI Hetzer tank destroyer on stained wooden base. Screw drilled into bottom of model.

1.48th F4U Corsair of US Marine Corp, Korean War, Winter 1950. Landing gears were glued in flight position. Attached velcro strip to bottom of model and onto base pedestal.

1.72nd Do-217 night figther mounted a plastic pop-stickle stick and base. Base display came from a Sci-Fi Bablyon Star Furry model.

1.48th US Army Air Force P-40 pursuit plane, early 1940s before US entry into the war. Small pins were drilled into the landing wheels, then glued onto the wooden base.

1.48th P-51D Mustang figther mounted on plastic tube styrene shaft and medicine cap base. Cap was filled with clay to provide counterweight.
