1.3 ) Photo-Etched
Photo-Etched parts are products from the metal-acid etching process. Acid-resistant sealants are placed on a sheet of metal. Acid is poured onto the metal and etches away exposed surfaces. When the sealant is removed, detailed metal parts remain.
This process is used to create small, delicate and properly scaled parts like driving mirrors, ammunition belts, empty bullet casings, belt buckets, engine details, insignia templates, etc.
Example 1 : Photo-etched 1.35th machine gun belt wrapped around Stug III's MG42 machine gun. Metal parts are malleable, thus have more posing flexibility than plastic or resin parts.

Example 2 : Photo-etched communication headgear hanging off the Panzertruppen's hands. Headphone covers are plastic, the head strap is metal.
