Multitude of publications exist on various historic or military subjects, including campaigns, equipment, camouflage, personalities, etc. The text are usually augmented with color plates, line art illustrations, photographs, first-hand testimonials, etc. Below are publication samples.

Example 1 : Military Book Club : Waffen-SS in Combat. Filled with photographs of German Waffen-SS grenadiers in action during the early stages of the war.

Example 2 : Concord Publication : German Armored Units at Arnhem. Photo and color plates of German forces during the counter-attack against British paratroopers in Arnhem-Holland, September 1944.

Squadron/Signal Publications : SdKfz 251 in Action, on the German halftrack variants in WW2. SdKfz is the abbreviation for "Sonderkraftfahrzueg", special vehicle transport (made for military operations).

Military Miniatures. Premium armor modeling magazine on the latest model kits, construction techniques and upcoming product releases.

Model Aircraft Monthly: Modeling magazine on airplane and jet kits, along with after-market products and decals.

Squadron/Signal Publications: VNAF. Photo and color plates on the South Vietnamese air force spanning French colonial rule, independence in 1954 and final end in 1975.

Journal of Military Ordance. Military hardware review for current and past weapon system.

Military in Scale. Modeling magazine combining air, sea, land model kits. Along with after-market products and publications.
