Site Persona

machinegun Kitty

I'm just an old "Kat" and like to share some good stories. Been building scaled models since I was 8-years old. In this world of instant stimuli and gratification, the Benjamin Franklin discipline of sheer personal task-intensive research is rare characteristic these days. Nevertheless, some still prefer the intricate research of inter-connecting events. If this is your inclination, then UweMilitaria.org (UweM) is geared for this audience. If not, then being a "Kat on a hair trigger", Meow Me and Eat Lead You O-Latte-Lov'in Lefties Commie Pinkos. :)

All stories can be depicted via scaled models, in turn all models convey some aspect of history or personal story. Sharing facts, analysis, and revelations via Internet/Web enabled audiences to review and pursue their own independent research. So take what you like from UweM site and build your own understanding of world events past, present, and future.

made in USA

Models showcased in this site are researched, assembled, painted, decaled in Austin metropolitan area - Williamson County - Texas/USA. Nothing is mass produced, outsourced, or sub-contracted. All hand-built by me (Uwe) and is 100% Made-in-the-USA. Model kits used includes TAMIYA & FUJIMI-Japan, DRAGON & TRUMPET-China, ITALERI-Italy, AFV-Taiwan, REVELL/MONOGRAM-USA, HELLER-France, VERLINDEN-Belgium, etc.

Note : UweM website covers historical topics and imageries that may be controversial to some parties, therefore discretion is advised for certain audiences.

Brand Positioning

Uwe Militaria Logo
Uwe Militaria.org icon

UweM brand icon of "Leaping Rabbit over Grassy Knoll" is blend of military history, multiculturalism, and international marcom. It is based on WW2 German armor division insignia, coupled to Asian zodiac Year of the Rabbit, sign of which I am affiliated with.

Uwe is a common German firstname, pronounced in German phonetics as "Uh-Veh" and not in American vernacular of "You-Wee" :). Since I grew-up in Milwaukee-Wisconsin with extensive exposure to German and Polish-American cultures, Uwe was an instinctive selection. Name also derived from my online FPS gamer alias Uwe Am Spiel (German for Uwe at Play), such as WW2/modern/scifi combat FPS games of Call of Duty-series, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor-series, Starship Troopers.

Complementing brand icon is tagline "(know the details, know the history...) know more", presenting 360-degree customer experience in model construction techniques, related historical setting, and model collectible listings.

For don't merely own an identical plastic model purchased by the masses at some department store outlet. Instead, own a moment in history meticulously researched. Know the men, know the machinery, know the combat formation, know the veterans testimonials, "know more" than the sum of what is seen. For general comments and inquires you can drop me messages at UweM Blogsite (Uwemilitaria.blogspot.com), or for specific questions send me email to Uwe at :
